SOLD OUT!!! Cobweb Felt Scarves with Sara Quail
Learn how to create ethereal cobweb felt.
Make a lightweight and lacy scarf to dress up an outfit or wear on a not so cold day. Sara will guide you through a number of techniques to achieve the ‘cobweb’ effect and variations. In this one day workshop, you will be able to complete at least one scarf and make progress towards another and / or samples for future reference if desired. Using extra fine merino and decorative fibres, the emphasis will be on creating a very drapeable felt that has gossamer-like qualities with the emphasis on organic edges, holes and thin spots! Light and economical, these scarves also make an excellent gift idea for posting overseas, Mother’s day, etc.
Minimal materials are required and the technique provides an opportunity to utilise fibre leftover from other projects. A range of merino, merino blends and viscose roving from Unicorn fibres, will be available for pre-purchase or for sale on the day.
