Felted Stones and Pebbles: Firm vs Soft
In this session, you will learn the secrets to creating realistic, nature-inspired stones from wool. We will feel the difference between internal structures to achieve specific weights and densities, depending on the intended use of your project.
Participants will craft two unique stones (up to 10-15cm) using two different filling techniques: one firm and dense, ideal for heavy-duty items like floor rugs or mats, and one lightweight, perfect for decorative wall panels or soft children’s toys.
By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills and confidence to incorporate these organic forms into larger, more complex felt installations or home decor.

Meet Your Tutor, Alexandra: My journey with wool began in 2015 in Russia – a place where felting is deeply woven into the culture and traditions. What started as a fascination with felted clothes and shoes soon became a lifelong passion. In 2018, I taught my first workshop on winter outdoor footwear, and I haven’t looked back since. Today, exploring the endless possibilities of felt and teaching others the secrets of this craft is what I love most.
