100 gms of wool tops – plus small amounts of tops or pre-felts in contrasting colour for surface decoration.

- Tape measure, pencil and paper, sharp scissors
- Strong cotton cloth approx 1m X 0.5m in size (eg linen tea towel)
- A bag full of old plastic bags or bubble wrap for stuffing
- Permanent marker
- a small bean bag or small bag of sand or wheat to provide weight.
- Normal felt-making kit:
- Thin plastic drop sheet
- Bubble wrap approx 1.4m X 0.6m in size
- Pole approx 5 cm diameter, minimum 0.6m in length
- Earth Choice washing up liquid and/or soap
- Small plastic bag and rubber gloves
- Small container for water – a 1 litre ice cream container is ideal
- Old curtain netting – approx. 1 metre
- 2 elastic bands
- Bucket for water
- Sponge, Towel
- Wash board or paint roller tray if you have one
- Table leg raisers if you have them
- Any tools you have for smoothing and finishing felt.
