enews cover
Hello reader
It was so lovely to see so many of our members participating in last month's name badge mini workshop. Bring along your finished badges - well hopefully you will be wearing them!

We have a cracking demo/mini workshop this month at Toss n Tell - String, Stitch & Steam Shibori Techniques for Fulled Felt.

String, Stitch & Steam Shibori Techniques

Come along and learn the centuries old Kamosage Shibori knot then apply it to your fulled felt pieces. We will learn 3 types of shibori styling to add texture and dimension creating amazing 3D effects. Bring along your gear and lets string, stitch and steam together. And of course, these age old techniques are the original tie dye. Its a win/win situation.

What to bring:
  • Fulled felt pieces
  • Strong string or similar, various thicknesses if you have.
  • Chenille needle – large eye to fit your string(s)
  • Marbles, caps, small objects that can take heat
  • Rubber bands
  • Small pole made of wood, plastic plumbing pipe or similar up to 20cm in length and less than 5cm in diameter

There are 2 Skills Extension workshops open - Nuno Frills & Roses and 2 Way Pockets. Plus 2 Beginners workshops. PS There is one place left for this Saturday's Beginners if you're quick.

We are very pleased to have Katrina Virgona teaching her Seeds & Pods workshop in June, bookings will open very soon. All details for these and more events are available on the home page at feltwest.org.au

Scammers

They are at it again! We post all of our events on our Facebook page and some enterprising scammers thought they would try and scam our loyal followers. They posted in the comments of a workshop we postponed that they had tickets to sell.
This will never happen.
First, there are no "tickets", secondly only our Members can book and only through our web site, and last but not least we have a comprehensive Refund & Cancellation Policy and all participants would be contacted personally. Of course we deleted the comments as soon as we saw them but if you see anything scammy on our page please contact us immediately.

That's all for now. Looking forward to seeing to you.
