enews cover
Good afternoon reader
Only 8 days till our Annual General Meeting and of course our fabulous annual Trash & Treasure. All notices and forms for the AGM are on the site under Members then Annual General Meeting. Please remember that only financial members are entitled to vote.

AGM & Toss n Tell

As we are still under the same rules as the last Toss n Tell we have to ask for table bookings as the number is limited. Booking a table is the same process as booking a workshop - add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout - it is a zero dollar amount so no payment is required but it does secure you a table. Bookings are under Member Bookings or Annual General Meeting in the web site. (Remember to log in first)

Have a clean out and make some money! We are looking for:
  • Felting & Textile materials and supplies
  • Felting & Textile related books
  • Handmade items like jams & pickles
  • Clean fabrics & textiles for felting
  • No commercial traders
AGM Toss n Tell - August

Extension Skills & Beginners Workshops

These programs are designed to extend or refresh your felting skills. Concentrated 3 hour workshops with a great tutor participant ratio. There 4 left for this year -

Layering up prefelts and differential shrinkage

Join Jean and Sue to learn how multiple layers of prefelt at different stages of the felting process can be used to form three dimensional shapes. Library News

Can you please return all library items by Saturday 15th August as we are implementing a new shiny library system and would like to stock take and photograph our catalogue. If you have library items and can not attend this month's meeting please arrange to have someone else return the items. In particular there are hat blocks that haven't been returned from Sue Eslick's workshop in March.

Last but not least...

Thank you all so much for the July Toss n Tell - besides everyone putting in such an effort with the COVID rules we also had so many amazing felt pieces to admire - 2 tables worth - brilliant. This month we would all love to see the beautiful scarves everyone made at Sara's Circular Scarves workshop and any other felty things you have made lately or in the past. I love pieces with a story.

I must admit I am equal parts excited and nervous about the AGM with the very peculiar year that 2020 has been I think I am now prepared for anything. Famous last words. But going on how our membership has come together I'm sure if all else fails we will still have felting fun. See you soon.

Cheers Soosie
