Hello reader

Many apologies for the wrong reminder date - in the reshuffle I forgot to re-schedule the email - the Needle Felting has changed to Saturday April 15th 1pm-4pm.

Thank you for joining us and signing up for a Felting Skills Extension Workshop. We look forward to working with you.

  • Workshops are held at Craft House Alexander Park, Clyde Street, Menora, WA.
  • Saturday workshops are held from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Tuesday workshops are from 10am to 1pm. The time, date and location of your workshop can be found on the event for this workshop.
  • BYO Lunch
  • Please bring along a couple of small towels. All other felting equipment will be supplied
  • Participants can bring their own wool or purchase a sample pack on the day for a cost of $5, so you just need to bring along a towel and your enthusiasm.

Workshop Etiquette

Tutors have a limited time to impart their knowledge at a workshop. As responsible members of an organisation we need to be conscious of extending appropriate courtesies to the tutor as well as to our fellow participants when attending a workshop. Please observe the following guidelines when attending a workshop:
  • Arrive early enough so that you can get yourself properly set up, including organising materials on your table. If a class is stated to start at 9.30am the doors open at 9.00am and you should try to arrive shortly after that time.
  • Make sure you have the materials and equipment as shown on the workshop materials list.
  • Listen to the tutor without unnecessary interruption (turn phones off or if you have to take a call please remove yourself from the room).
  • If you are unsure of the process, ask at the end of the demonstration or talk, or when the tutor allows time for discussion or questions.
  • Try the things you are there to learn! Come with an open mind.
  • Ask before you photograph the tutor’s work or the work of fellow participants.
  • If you find you are unable to attend the workshop let the workshop co-ordinator know immediately so that arrangements can be made for another member to take your place. Simply not turning up is not only impolite to the tutor but is unfair to others who missed out due to a restriction on numbers able to enroll in the workshop.
