The Handweavers, Spinners & Dyers Guild has been asked to host the 2023 International Scarf Exchange. The aims of the International Scarf Exchange are to preserve the skills of spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet and felting, to expand the wool craft network, and to challenge each crafter to produce their best original work.
Participation in the scarf exchange involves you selecting 150grams of washed and prepared fresh natural fibre, which must be free from any contamination or strong odours. This will be crafted into a scarf, shawl, bag or hat, gloves/mittens or socks, by another participant in the exchange. In return you will be required to craft a scarf, shawl, bag or hat, gloves/mittens or socks using fibre sent to you.
Registration Period: Closes Monday 28th November 2022

The Sum of Us celebrates the work of a group of students brought together by a botanical art course in Perth with artist and fellow student Margaret Oversby. The group continued to meet with Margaret arranging sessions in Bullsbrook to allow the pursuit of their passion and exploration of various styles of botanical art. Margaret has since passed away. This exhibition acknowledges her role in the formation of this diverse, supportive, and talented group, with a selection of her works on display.
