Wendy has been a feltmaker for over 30 years. Her creative work revolves around her love of textiles and making. She have always been a creative soul and always, always, connected to the marvellous, transformative, and comforting essence of wool. Wendy loves using natural fibres and is inspired by their innate qualities.
“Making art has always been like breath for me. I create fundamentally because of the balance it gives me. My favourite works reference my daily life, the textures and patterns of the natural world, particularly my garden, resident birds, and my travels- these things inspire me incredibly. I work predominately with felting and textiles but also have a mixed media practice which includes painting, printing , ceramics and jewellery making. Creativity is truly my life blood. I love teaching and am passionate about exploring the intricacies of the creative process within sample based classes.”
