EASTERN BARRED BANDICOOT with Peta Korb

A 2 day needle felting workshop

Create a Eastern Barred Bandicoot in a two day workshop with textile artist Peta Korb of Country Chicks Creations. Peta first created an Eastern Barred Bandicoot for a short film and has designed this workshop for beginners or those wanting to expand their knowledge of needle felting and creating with wire armatures, building and sculpting with wool. No experience is needed as you will be guided each step by Peta through the creative process including those tiny toes.

Participant Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Duration of Workshop: 2 Days

Peta started her textile journey as a theatrical costume designer and special effects makeup artist. With credits including puppet making, world premier stage productions, ballets, operas, and a world tour of the Moscow Circus.

Using wool fibres as a medium, Peta employs traditional wet and needle felting techniques alongside techniques from other crafts to make her one of a kind creations.

As the country chick behind Country Chicks Creations, Peta often works to capture the essence of the unique and divers place she calls home – Australia. She often showcases endangered Australian wildlife with her 3D creations and the natural colour of Australia in her wearable creations.
