Hello reader

First the serious stuff.

Since we last used Craft House we have a new requirement to the Special COVID-19 Rules. All people attending Craft House must use the WASafe App and QR Code to register your details, or if you don't have a smart phone you can use the manual register at the front counter and complete your details. The girls on the Welcome desk will remind you.

Toss n Tell Feburary Mini Workshop

We have had a couple of requests for a Name Badge workshop so that's what we'll have! A free mini workshop with Sue Eslick & Soosie Jobson. There will be loads of examples to show and talk on closures and construction. There will be small bits and pieces available for sale on the day. This is a great stash bag workshop so bring along your scrap felt pieces, needles, threads and beads or any other amazing embellishment bits and bobs you may have. If you already have a name tag bring that along too! Should be fun.

The Library is open again!

A big thank you to Vimol who has spent the best part of the last 3 months getting our borrowing system up online. As you can imagine with over 250 items in the library it was a tonne of work.

Each eNews for the next few months will have the how to instructions for online borrowing. By making your selection online you will have first choice of the items as once they have been added to someone's cart they are no longer available. Better still collection time at Toss n Tell will be before in person borrowing takes place.

Thank you Vimol

But having said that please bear with us as we implement the system as you know the old saying... "best laid plans of mice and felters". We will probably have teething problems to start with.

How does it work?

The library items are products - like booking a workshop (remember login first!). When you find an item you would like to borrow Click "Add to Cart" and proceed in the same manner as when booking workshops. It will take you through the checkout process with a zero dollar value. Items that are currently on loan do not appear in the catalogues and will reappear once returned and received back in the system. You can only have 2 items at any time.

Where do I find the library borrowing?

Once you have logged in you will find Library Borrowing under Members in the menu. The first page has the categories of items available and further down full instructions on how to borrow and what emails you will receive.

When and how do I bring them back?

Items may only be borrowed for one month and must be returned at the following Toss n Tell. When returning the items please ensure the Librarian has entered your return in the system so it generates your acknowledgement receipt via email. Please do not drop them and go. If they go missing before they are logged back in you will still be responsible for them.

That's all for now.

See you next month!
