Artist in Situ

The City of Stirling’s newest art initiative, Artist in Situ, will see six talented artists create four temporary installation artworks in public spaces across the City.

Artist in Situ will connect locals and visitors alike with contemporary artists and their art practices. Working across a range of disciplines including photography, kinetics, paper sculpture, print-making, and socially engaged practices each artist will respond to the theme of “Smile” whilst enlivening community spaces in a fun, imaginative way, igniting the curiosity of passers-by and in-turn bringing a smile to their faces. Scheduled between 7 February - 2 April 2023 the community can get involved through workshops leading to the creation of 4 temporary art installations in North Beach, Scarborough, Glendalough and Hamersley.
Creatives + Connections' events are a new monthly initiative providing a relaxed opportunity for City of Stirling based artists and creatives to learn and connect, share ideas, and have some fun whilst exploring local creative spaces and businesses.
Our March meet-up will be on Tuesday 21st from 6pm - 8pm at the Artspace Collective, Scarborough.
Hear from Founder & Director, Marite Norris and see their current exhibition featuring earth-inspired work grounded in its connection to the environment by artist Elle Rose.
Attendance is free but registration is required. We hope to see your there!
