Reduce Reuse Recycle – Single Use Plastic in Felting
Our experiment to reduce single use plastic came to some interesting conclusions last Toss n Tell. We tried a range of materials to substitute for bubblewrap, plastic sheets and resists plastics. Results? Tightwoven and/or synthetic fabrics can be substituted for bubblewrap, synthetic netting & sheer curtains work well as plastic sheets, and some cardboards works as resists -not all one type turned into mush. We tried waxed cotton for resists but surmised that 2 pieces stitched together would be better.
