Makers Day this Saturday - 9:30am - 4:30pm

Saturday is a full day of making, mentoring, coaching and sharing of all things felt. Bring your felting gear and lunch, setup your table and start felting. Bliss.
Last Toss n Tell we had a great session on the main theme of Marks Over Time - generating a pile of ideas and food for thought on topics. We also discussed the Timeless Scarf Collaboration Project our "Exhibition within an Exhibition" to explore the concept further.

Reduce Reuse Recycle – Single Use Plastic in Felting

Our experiment to reduce single use plastic came to some interesting conclusions last Toss n Tell. We tried a range of materials to substitute for bubblewrap, plastic sheets and resists plastics. Results? Tightwoven and/or synthetic fabrics can be substituted for bubblewrap, synthetic netting & sheer curtains work well as plastic sheets, and some cardboards works as resists -not all one type turned into mush. We tried waxed cotton for resists but surmised that 2 pieces stitched together would be better.

Have a go and tell us your findings.
